For students, the project provided opportunities to develop essential skills such as communication, teamwork, and leadership. By simplifying complex digital concepts and engaging with elderly participants, students enhanced their empathy and social awareness. They also gained practical experience in project management, problem-solving, and applying academic knowledge in real-world scenarios, contributing to their personal and professional growth.
For the community, the project empowered elderly participants by improving their confidence and competence in using digital tools. It helped them stay connected with family and friends, reducing social isolation and enhancing their social well-being. Additionally, the training on online safety raised awareness of scams and security measures, enabling participants to navigate the digital world more securely.
For the industry & others, the initiative highlighted the unique needs of elderly users, encouraging the development of more user-friendly and accessible digital tools. It also showcased the value of collaboration between academic institutions and industries to address digital literacy challenges and promote technology adoption among underserved populations.
