EMPTY PLATES, HIDDEN STRUGGLES (HOUSEHOLD FOOD INSECURITY: A GROWING CONCERN)
This project highlights food insecurity as a significant community health issue influenced by low-income households, limited food access, and environmental challenges. The findings support interventions such as improving transport, ensuring clean water supply, strengthening local food systems, and promoting sustainable consumption. Importantly, it also emphasizes the need to educate the community on nutritious food choices, safe food handling, and responsible consumption to build long-term resilience. Overall, the project contributes directly to SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
