1. ECOPLANTER: THE BOTTLE GARDEN 2. FROM COSTS TO BENEFITS: ENHANCING LONGHOUSES LIVING IN BETONG 3. BUILDING A BETTER WORLD: SCHOOL SUSTAINABILITY TOOLKITS
1. Create alternative space for gardening in the kampung. This is particularly useful when gardening directly on the soil could attract pests. This method will allow people to grow with less disturbances from pests. One potential impact could be the growing number of gardening activities closer to home.
2. In the long term, the impact of the CARE project extends beyond knowledge transfer. The initiative has encouraged collaboration between academia, local communities, and development agencies, fostering sustainable practices that can improve waste management in longhouses. The project also contributed to students' professional growth by equipping them with hands-on experience in field research and stakeholder engagement.
3. Impacts of the SSR2013 Exhibition (i) To the community: Knowledge exchange: increase awareness about SDGs and how they can help to achieve SDGs. (ii) To the community: Building relationships between students, the educational institutions, APPGM and UNIMAS (iii) To the students: Real world application, i.e. hands on experience becoming an agent of social change and SDG advocate (iv) To the students: Fostering a sense of responsibility via exhibition and creation of educational toolkits for schools
