Increased Safety Awareness Among School Participants ✅ 8 teachers and 30 students developed a better understanding of safety practices, particularly in the areas of personal protective equipment (PPE), electrical safety, and fire hazard management. ✅ Participants are now better equipped to identify potential hazards and respond appropriately in emergency situations. ✅ Teachers can now incorporate safety knowledge into their lessons, ensuring long-term benefits for future students. 2. Practical Application of Engineering Safety Knowledge ✅ 103 undergraduate students were able to apply their theoretical knowledge of safety and health in engineering to a real-world educational setting. ✅ Students developed stronger communication, teamwork, and leadership skills by engaging with the school community. ✅ The hands-on experience reinforced their understanding of engineering safety principles, which they can carry into their future careers. 3. Strengthened University-Community Engagement ✅ The project bridged academia and community service, reinforcing UNIMAS's commitment to public engagement. ✅ It established a positive relationship between the Faculty of Engineering and local schools, paving the way for future outreach programs. ✅ The event showcased the role of engineers in promoting public safety, encouraging more STEM-related awareness among young students. 4. Long-Term Impact on Safety Culture ✅ The project contributed to the creation of a proactive safety culture within the school environment. ✅ The hands-on fire extinguisher training empowered participants to act confidently in emergencies, potentially reducing risks of fire-related accidents. ✅ Increased knowledge of electrical hazards and PPE usage ensures that both students and teachers can implement safer practices in their daily routines.
